How to Update Samsung Galaxy Fit to Gingerbread 2.3.4

Improvements in the latest Gingerbread XEKPG 2.3.4:

• There are whole lot of improvements which have been updated in this version, though it will not be possible to list here all of them but

• The think free office version is now updated to the 2.0 version

• Camera fix has been done and also the GPS issue is now resolved which most of the users reported,

• Sleep issue for the sensor disconnection too has been resolved in this update.

• Previously when there were two contacts with the same last two digits like (11 and 111) were equal then the contact was not successfully added, but now after this update the problem has resolved,

• Samsung apps are now updated with the latest version of UNA 2.0.7

• Previously whenever one used to open the high resolution images, it used to prompt for the force closing of the application, but now after applying this update you no longer will have to face the force close issues as this solves the issue completely. This problem was mainly with the high quality GIF images.

• One can now add the space in the view message detail

• Along with all this, you will get to see a whole new user interface which is being updated with the latest 2.3.4 version of Gingerbread.

• The battery life has been substantially increased and also additionally, the wait for the Google Maps 5.1 3D is over as with an all newupdate of 2.3.4, you will now be able to access the Google Maps of 5.1 version in 3D and also not only this you will now be able to enjoy their improved version of Google Books as well as Voice search 2.1.1 version which has the capability to detect the voice actions more accurately.

• Download the Gingerbread 2.3.4 update package for Samsung GALAXY FIT in your computer from here and as soon as you download it you will have to unzip to folder to get the files like Boot, CODE, Modem, CSC along with the Odin Multi uploader v 4.38. Please note that even if a single file is missing then it means that the files have not been downloaded properly and again you need to download them.

• So, after downloading and in the extraction process if it prompts you to enter the password at any point of time then you will have to enter the password as “androidadvices.com” .

• After this, just open the “Odin Multi uploader” file from the extracted folder and then you will have to now turn the phone Off as you will have to turn your phone ON in the download mode.

• Please note that the download mode can be entered by holding the Volume Down button + the Home key button (the middle button). While holding these both buttons, you need to switch ON your device. Now, if you have successfully entered into the download mode then you will see a green screen which is shown below. Please note that if the device boots in the normal mode with the home screen then retry the process and if despite retrying you are unable to get into download mode then you will have to fix the download mode error for your phone.

• Now, as soon as you get into the download mode, you will have to connect the Galaxy FIT S 5670 to the computer with the help of USB cable while Odin opened in the desktop. As soon as you connect the phone, you will see that first ID:COM box as shown below will turn yellow and in the message box you will see that it will show ADDED as shown in the below snapshot and after that you will have to add the files respectively as shown below,

• As soon as you feed in the files, you will have to double check the same and then you will have to proceed and click on the “Start” option to start the firmware update process. After clicking on the start, you will see that the firmware will be installed in your phone within a time of not more than 5 minutes.

• After the Galaxy FIT reboots, you will have see the home screen and then choose the options accordingly and then after you see the home screen and after the completion of Media scanning, you will have to go in the recovery mode wherein you will have to delete the cache memory so that all unwanted files are removed if there are any left in the phone. That’s it you have now successfully flashed your phone with the latest Android 2.3.4 update.

For checking on which firmware you are currently on, you will have to go to the Settings > About Phone> Firmware Version where you will find the version of Android OS where it will show 2.3.4. As you can see above that we have shown some of the images of latestGingerbread update of 2.3.4. So, let us know if you face any sorts of issues as we will see to it that all issues are resolved.

and if u face some problem then reset your factory settings. 1st switch off your phone then press POWER+HOME key together. wait for few seconds. there will show some options… use your VOLUME UP & DOWN key to for up & down & press HOME KEY to select. after that phone will ask to reboot. reboot your phone…. your phone will restart with gingerbread!
